Role : Senior QA Engineer - Remote India

Role Direction and Impact :

The Senior QA Engineer will be a critical quality owner responsible for ensuring product reliability, scalability, and release confidence across assigned modules. This role goes beyond execution-focused QA and requires strong ownership, technical depth, and independent decision-making.

This engineer will :

- Own QA End-to-End : Drive quality strategy, test planning, execution, defect management, and release sign-off for assigned product areas.

- Build Multi-Layer Automation : Develop and maintain automation across APIs, end-to-end product flows, and backend/data validation layers.

- Ensure Data Correctness : Validate database and pipeline-level correctness using SQL and backend verification strategies.

- Leverage AI-Assisted QA : Use tools like Claude and Cursor to accelerate test generation, regression coverage, debugging, and productivity while applying strong engineering judgment.

- Improve Engineering Quality : Contribute to CI/CD quality gates, debugging, release confidence, and overall engineering excellence.

- Operate Independently Across Timezones : Work effectively with distributed teams, manage delivery ownership, and maintain strong communication with overseas stakeholders.

- Mentor and Influence : Support junior QA engineers and promote scalable QA practices across teams.

Technical Requirements & Key Skills :

- Strong QA Engineering Experience : 8+ years of QA engineering experience in product-focused organizations.

- Python Expertise : Strong hands-on experience building automation frameworks and test suites using Python.

- API & Flow Automation : Proven experience automating APIs and end-to-end product workflows.

- Data Validation & SQL : Strong understanding of SQL, database validation, and backend data testing.

- Linux Proficiency : Comfortable working with Linux systems, logs, debugging tools, and command-line workflows.

- AI-Assisted Testing : Practical experience using Claude, Cursor, or similar AI tools in real QA workflows.

- CI/CD & DevOps Awareness : Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, and quality gate integrations is a plus.

- Distributed Team Collaboration : Experience working with overseas teams and distributed engineering organizations. (EST Working Hours)

- Version Control : Proficiency with Git-based workflows.
