What is the team & role about?

The Frontend Engineering team builds and scales Brights core user experiences across mobile and web platforms, ensuring a fast, stable, and intelligent product experience.

This team owns the React Native mobile app, which serves as the backbone for Brights AI-driven credit, debt, and savings products.

The Frontend SDE-3 role focuses on leading mobile architecture, performance, and feature delivery across React Native, React, Swift, and Kotlin, while collaborating closely with BFF, Product, and Design teams.

The role combines deep technical expertise with leadership in engineering best practices and delivery ownership.

What you will do?

- Design, build, and maintain Brights mobile applications using React Native and native modules (Swift/Kotlin).

- Integrate and evolve the AI-driven design system that connects Figma ? Code pipelines, automating UI generation and component mapping.

- Lead Brights transition to New Architecture (Fabric, TurboModules, JSI) and modular design systems.

- Collaborate closely with Product Design and AI Platform teams to define dynamic UI flows that adapt based on AI output.

- Drive CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, GitHub Actions), manage OTA updates (Stallion), and optimize build pipelines.

- Use Mixpanel, New Relic, and Sentry to monitor performance, engagement, and release quality.

- Build shared SDKs and libraries for rapid UI prototyping and cross-team reuse.

- Optimize performance (startup, memory, render times) across Android/iOS.

- Partner with QA to ensure automated test coverage (Appium, RTL, XCTest, Detox).

- Mentor engineers, conduct reviews, and ensure clean architecture aligned with Brights AI-assisted design principles.

Ideal candidate profile looks like?

- Expertise in React Native, React, TypeScript, and native mobile (Swift/Kotlin/Java).

- Experience integrating Figma or design tokens into engineering workflows.

- Understanding of AI-driven UI generation or dynamic UI systems.

- Deep knowledge of mobile app lifecycle, CI/CD, and modular architecture.

- Proven track record in building SDKs, frameworks, or UI libraries.

- Strong grounding in data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.

- Proficiency with Mixpanel, New Relic, Firebase, and Sentry.

- Familiarity with BFF/GraphQL, third-party integrations, and design-system governance.

- Working knowledge of React Native Web for cross-platform design-system parity.

- Hands-on with automated testing and version control (Git/GitHub).

Experience & Background :

- 5 to 8.5 years of experience in mobile and frontend application development.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- Prior experience upgrading and optimizing React Native (0.7x ? 0.8x).

- Exposure to AI-based design systems, code generation, or UI automation tools.

- Experience with Flutter or other cross-platform frameworks is a plus.
