Job Summary :
- Primary objective is to manage, lead, and provide direction for infrastructure services.
- Primary functions include server management, hardware capacity, preventative maintenance, and work prioritization.
- Drives maximization of server functions and capacity planning, cost savings, solutions management, work prioritization and vendor interfaces.
- Drives relationship management by collaborating with external hardware and software providers and key internal partners including application owners and outsourced operations partner.
Essential Job Functions :
- Drives installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, operating systems software, server utility programs, monitoring tools, etc.
- Manages server capacity, determining planning and implementation needs for new servers or capacity on existing servers, and server infrastructure upgrades.
- Maintain documentation of server infrastructure. Determines infrastructure needs for redundancy.
- Identifies and implements emerging needs and trends in systems management that collaborate with Telecom, Mainframe and Network for all of Retail.
- Drive cost saving through server consolidation and capacity maximization.
- Oversees unplanned server maintenance, priority exceptions, and audit requests as necessary.
- Oversees all solutions management within operational budget, working within compressed timelines with allocated resources.
- Drives scheduling of work and prioritization on all assignments. Oversees management of capacity and trending for system operations.
- Lead systems hardware and software support.
- Oversee preventative maintenance, required compliance and scheduled delivery.
- Drives the maintenance and improvement of monitoring agents' deployment, configuration thresholds, and licensing tracking and administration across all platforms for all customers.
- Drives initiation and implementation of server virtualization (i.e. VMware, Netapp).
- Drives vendor interface for system support issues and escalation.
- Establish departmental goals and objectives for programs, projects on a regular basis.
Relationship Management within Server Management Function :
- Partners with OUTSOURCED OPERATIONS PARTNER Service Team and collaborate in policy creation for all of Retail.
- Drive and develop Vendor, Client, and Customer Relationships with software and hardware providers in partnership with Architecture/ Infrastructure.
- Partner with occasional Third Party Administration of contracts.
- Drive resolution of escalated technological server issues, contractual vendor issues; resolve OUTSOURCED OPERATIONS PARTNER Cost analysis and resolution.
- Partner with Architecture/Infrastructure in strategic planning and development of system resources working in conjunction with Telecom, Mainframe and Network.
- Drive development of total systems solutions for all internal and external clients within Retail.
- Drive resolution of technical and non-technical design and implementation issues for all internal and external clients within Retail.
- Collaborates with contacts outside the division to resolve mutual problems to collaborate on work procedures, including team projects.
- Oversees Servers Performance Monitoring function, including: Creates process that uses monitoring tools and scripts to gather server performance statistics
- Creates measurement and analysis of application and server performance
- Utilize performance data to prepare recommendations
- Communicate recommendations to appropriate functional areas (Capacity Planning, Service Level Management, etc.), business, and technology owners.

Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
- Ten or more years
Preferred Qualifications :
- Ensure documentation meets the needs of internal customers, audits, and compliance.
- Lead the approval process and present detailed quarterly capacity analyses on licensing, equipment, and utilization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest M365 updates, features, and best practices to continuously improve our environment.
- 3+ years leading project(s), mentoring and/or coaching experience, demonstrated subject matter expert in department
- 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Architecture or Engineering work experience in area of specialization
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 12+ years of experience in Systems Administration or Engineering
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or other relevant certifications.
- 7+ years of experience in Leadership, Infrastructure Architecture or Engineering work experience in area of specialization
- Experience with hybrid environments and migration projects.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
