Role Description :

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Java Software Engineer located in Bengaluru.

The Senior Java Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions.

Daily tasks include building and optimizing microservices within the Spring Framework, writing clean and efficient Java code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital products.

The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail in software development.

In this role, you will :

- Work as a full stack software developer for a large complex enterprise scale application

- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain,

including upgrades and deployments

- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

- You would lead design and development of applications.

- Fix issues and implement new functionality/changes.

- Working on latest technologies to build next generation onboarding systems

- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications :

- 6+ years of Software Engineering experience including hands-on experience with application development using Java and distributed technologies both on-premises and cloud.

- Strong in Java/JEE, Spring framework, JavaScript, RESTful web services

- Sound knowledge of UI frameworks like

- Strong understanding of microservices and associated design patterns

- Experience with latest unit testing tools including Junit

- Experience with best-in-class version control tools like GitHub

- Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle

- Working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases

- Knowledge on messaging systems like MQ, Solace, Kafka

- Knowledge on OpenShift or any Kubernetes containerization platform

- Experience in identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities

- Should be well versed with test driven development and be knowledgeable on associated tools and practices

- Experience with working with globally distributed teams in working in Agile scrums

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Expectations :

- Domain knowledge in home lending or consumer lending space.

- Well versed in DevOps concepts

- Aware of cloud native application development best practices and design patterns
