Key Responsibilities :
Cloud Architecture & Migration :
- Lead end-to-end cloud migration strategies (re-host, re-platform, re-factor) from on-premises or other clouds to AWS.
- Design highly available, scalable, secure, and cost-optimized AWS architectures.
- Define cloud reference architectures, landing zones, and best practices aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Assess existing applications and infrastructure to recommend optimal AWS migration approaches.
High-Level & Low-Level Design (HLD / LLD) :
- Create High-Level Designs (HLDs) and detailed Low-Level Designs (LLDs) covering :
a. Application architecture
b. Network topology (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, NACLs)
c. Security and IAM models
d. CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
e. Data storage, backup, and DR strategies
- Produce detailed design artifacts including component diagrams, sequence flows, configuration details, and implementation guidelines.
- Ensure LLDs are implementation-ready and aligned with architectural standards and security requirements.
AWS Solutions & Services :
- Architect and implement solutions using core AWS services including (but not limited to) :
a. EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda
b. VPC, ELB, Route 53
c. S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora
d. IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
- Ensure security, governance, compliance, and resiliency across cloud environments.
CI/CD & DevOps Enablement :
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, or third-party tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Enable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK.
- Drive DevOps best practices including automation, monitoring, logging, and incident management.
Technical Leadership & Governance :
- Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to engineering and DevOps teams.
- Review and approve HLDs and LLDs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and operations teams to enforce cloud governance.
- Act as a key technical advisor to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Work closely with application teams, program managers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support pre-sales, proposals, and client-facing discussions when required.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 12+ years of IT experience with strong focus on AWS cloud architecture
- Proven experience leading large-scale cloud migrations to AWS
- Strong experience in creating High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD / LLD)
- Deep hands-on expertise in AWS services and solution design
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Solid understanding of networking, security, identity, and compliance in AWS
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Certifications (Mandatory) :
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (mandatory)
- One or more of the following is highly desirable :
a. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
Good to Have :
- .NET / C# development background
- Experience modernizing legacy .NET applications on AWS
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
