About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Quality Automation Engineer (Mainframe) with strong expertise in z/OS environments and QA automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mainframe testing, automation, and Agile methodologies while ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.

- Perform functional, regression, negative, and stress testing.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.

- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track software defects.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.

- Ensure the quality and reliability of mainframe applications.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of experience in a z/OS QA role or Technical Services (Storage Administration or Product Installation & Implementation).

- Strong hands-on experience with :

1. z/OS

2. JCL

3. SMP/E

4. REXX

5. VSAM

6. VSAM/RLS

- Good understanding of :

1. JES2

2. Batch Job Processing

- Experience with QA methodologies, including :

1. Functional Testing

2. Negative Testing

3. Stress Testing

- Experience in creating detailed test plans and test cases.

- Hands-on experience with test automation tools.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Good to Have :

- Knowledge of workload automation/job scheduling tools such as :

1. Control-M

2. IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS)

3. CA7

- Knowledge of SMF/RMF record types and SMF file handling.

- Exposure to ISPW and TOPAZ.

- Basic knowledge of DB2, IMS, and CICS.
