Key Responsibilities :

- Ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of SQL Server databases.

- Perform advanced performance tuning and query optimization to address complex database challenges.

- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable SQL Server solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve critical database incidents and long-standing performance issues.

- Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Monitor database performance, resource utilization, and proactively address bottlenecks.

- Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity across all SQL Server environments.

- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database usage and application performance.

- Support database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.

- Document database configurations, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills :

- 9-13 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA.

- Deep expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.

- Strong experience in database design, implementation, and administration in enterprise environments.

- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues under pressure.

- Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, Clustering, and Log Shipping.

- Proficiency in T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server monitoring tools.

- Knowledge of cloud-based SQL Server deployments (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a plus.

- Strong understanding of database security, compliance, and auditing practices.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
