BJS Home Delivery - Quality Assurance Test Engineer - Manual & Automation Testing

Job Summary :

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Tester with 36 years of hands-on experience in software testing.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and ensuring the overall quality of software products before deployment.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the applications meet functional, performance, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyse business and functional requirements to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-

structured test plans and test cases.

- Execute manual and/or automated test cases and analyse results.

- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.

- Perform regression, functional, integration, and exploratory testing.

- Collaborate with developers and product managers to resolve issues and improve the product.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

- Contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and test automation frameworks.

- Ensure test coverage and maintain documentation for QA processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

- 36 years of experience in QA testing (manual and/or automated).

- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases.

- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).

- Familiarity with at least one automation tool (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).

- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Java etc.) is a plus.

- Experience in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or SoapUI.

- Good understanding of Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications :

- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.

- Experience in performance or security testing is a bonus.

- Knowledge of databases and the ability to write basic SQL queries.
