1. Automation Skills :

- Programming and Scripting Languages : Python/Java/ JavaScript/C#.

- Automated Testing Tools : Selenium/Appium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, Postman, JMeter.

- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Tools : Jenkins/GitLab CI

- Version Control Systems Git/SVN

- Containerization and Virtualization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

- API Testing Tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured)

- Performance Testing Tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)

- Test Management and Bug Tracking Tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)

- Database Management and SQL

- Cloud Services and Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

2. Framework :

- Experience creating Automation Frameworks from scratch preferably HYBRID framework, with an understanding of its benefits such as reusability, component integration, and maintenance efficiency.

- Proficiency in BDD Cucumber Framework for web-based applications and RestAssured Framework for APIs.

- Hands on experience of implementing CI/CD tools like Jenkins for automation script execution.

3. Testing Methodologies :

- Participation in Sprint planning, estimation, daily standups, and collaboration with stakeholders like PO, SM, and Dev Leads.

- AI based testing using tools like pcloudy, testtigor, lamdba, GenAI, playwrightMCP, cursor or any other

4. Test Case Management Tools :

- Proficiency in using Jira, Rally, or ALM for maintaining user stories and developing test cases.

- Candidates should not solely rely on Excel or Word for test case management.

5. Communication :

- Clear communication skills with the right attitude and tone.

6. Domain Knowledge :

- Preference for candidates with experience in Fintech or related domains (banking, insurance).

- Understanding of use cases such as customer onboarding, banking/payment platforms, payment gateways, and peer-to-peer lending platforms.

- Experience in functional, regression, and integration testing across various applications within the domain.

7. Essential :

- Prior experience in a software testing role

- Experience of API testing & API automation would be added advantages

- Experience of using manual, Selenium automation tools & creation of automation framework

- Experience of using Jira and multiple plugins

- Ability to derive test cases from User Stories and functional specs

- Passion for self-motivated learning and knowledge sharing

- Experience in challenging/pushing back and not sacrificing quality

- Passion for driving new ideas and standards

- Experience of working with development teams both near and offshore

- Ability to challenge the status quo and provide new innovative ideas

- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders, product owners and other colleagues

8. Desirable :

- Knowledge of TDD and BDD

- Previous experience of Test Automation frameworks ie, Selenium

- Passion for learning and experimenting with existing/emerging testing standards and software

- A desire to take on challenges outside of your comfort zone.

- Preferably from a Product based company.

- Experience in working on Enterprise Web applications.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Willing to learn and grow.
