As a Data & Analytics Technical Project Manager, you will need to oversee and guide large service engagements, involving teams of 35-50 individuals. This role requires a balance of technical know-how, exceptional leadership abilities, and proven project management skills.
Here's how you'll contribute :
You will :
- Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
- Coordinate cross-project activities.
- Lead diverse project teams, including technical developers, business analysts, quality assurance, and other essential stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure regular communication of project updates and milestones.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, addressing concerns, and resolving conflicts or issues promptly.
- Offer technical guidance, ensuring that project deliverables meet the required standards and quality.
- Collaborate with architects and technical leads to ensure feasible project plans.
- Guide teams on best practices related to cloud-based data warehouses.
- Identify potential risks and devise contingency plans.
- Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
- Ensure optimal allocation and availability of resources throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring projects remain within scope and on budget.
Skills required to contribute :
Mandatory Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, MCA
- 8-12 years of experience in technical project management, specifically in services for enterprise clients
- Should have experience of executing Fixed Price projects, project planning & tracking using tools like Microsoft Project Planner
- Familiarity with the architecture, design, and best practices of cloud-based data warehouses on Cloud data services such as Azure, Databricks, AWS, Snowflake. Any certification on these technologies will be plus.
- Proven experience in leading large teams and handling large-scale projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience on either one of the traditional ETL tools (Ab Initio, Data Stage, Informatica and SSIS). Experience of any 2 of these tools would be preferred
- Excellent presentation, communication, documentation skills, with strong Proficiency in MS Office skill including Project Management software tools, methodologies and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up ones sleeves to get the job done.
- Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, Scrum would be a plus.
