Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced BIOS/UEFI Firmware Engineer with strong expertise in x86 architecture to work on platform initialization, firmware development, and system bring-up.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with BIOS codebases and a deep understanding of low-level system programming and boot processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and customize BIOS/UEFI firmware for x86-based platforms
- Perform platform bring-up and hardware initialization
- Work with Intel FSP (Firmware Support Package) for system boot flow and configuration
- Debug and optimize firmware for performance and stability
- Collaborate with hardware and OS teams for Linux boot enablement and validation
- Contribute to mainboard porting and integration with open-source firmware projects
- Participate in firmware build, integration, and release processes
Required Skills :
- 5+ years of experience in x86 BIOS / UEFI firmware development
- Strong understanding of x86 CPU/APU architectures
- Expertise in C programming (low-level / embedded systems)
- Hands-on experience with platform bring-up and hardware initialization
- Experience with at least one BIOS codebase: AMI, Insyde, or Phoenix BIOS
- Strong understanding of Intel FSP architecture, boot flow, and build processes
- Familiarity with Linux boot process and system initialization
Good to Have Skills :
- Experience with open-source firmware projects (e.g., coreboot) and mainboard porting
- Understanding of firmware build systems and toolchains
- Exposure to debugging tools for low-level firmware and hardware interaction
