BigStep Technologies - BASE24 Test Engineer - Transaction Processing System

We are looking for a Base24 Test Engineer with strong experience in payment transaction systems and switching platforms.

The role involves functional, integration, and certification testing of Base24 applications (Classic/EPS), ensuring high-quality transaction processing systems for ATMs, POS, and card networks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, prepare, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Base24 applications.

- Perform functional testing, regression testing, and system integration testing for ATM, POS, and payment switch systems.

- Conduct end-to-end testing of ISO8583 messages and EMV-based transactions.

- Support certification testing with payment networks (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay, UPI, etc.

- Identify, log, and track defects/bugs using standard defect management tools.

- Work closely with development, business, and support teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

- Participate in production verification testing (PVT) and ensure smooth deployments.

- Maintain test documentation, reports, and knowledge repository.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in testing Base24 (Classic/EPS) applications.

- Strong understanding of payment transaction flows (ATM, POS, ISO8583, EMV).

- Experience in HP NonStop / Tandem environments (Guardian, OSS, TACL).

- Familiarity with test simulators (e.g., Mastercard, Visa simulators, FINSIM).

- Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, Quality Center).

- Good understanding of card products (Debit/Credit, Magstripe, EMV, Contactless).

- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
