BigQuery Developer - Google Cloud Platform

Job Summary :

We are looking for a talented GCP BigQuery Developer with strong SQL skills and basic proficiency in Python to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery, and be capable of writing efficient SQL queries to support data transformation, analytics, and reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement data solutions using BigQuery and GCP-native services.

- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.

- Build and maintain data pipelines to support reporting and analytics use cases.

- Perform data validation, profiling, and quality checks to ensure data integrity.

- Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and engineers to understand data needs.

- Write Python scripts for automation, orchestration, and lightweight data processing tasks.

- Monitor and improve performance of BigQuery workloads and queries.

- Maintain documentation of data flows, transformations, and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4 - 12 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or BI development.

- Proven hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and GCP data services (e.g., Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Dataflow optional).

- Strong expertise in SQL, including analytical functions, joins, CTEs, and window functions.

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.

- Understanding of data warehouse concepts, data modeling, and normalization.

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
