Job Summary :

Key Responsibilities :

Database Operations and Maintenance :

- Perform Database installation and continuously Monitor systems health and performance to ensure peak operational status.

- Execute routine Patch existing database servers to maintain security and functionality.

- Conduct proactive Database maintenance and optimization activities, including setting and maintaining global database standards.

Performance, Availability, and Troubleshooting :

- Drive specialized Performance tuning and Performance monitoring initiatives to ensure high

levels of performance and low latency.

- Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real-time, demonstrating strong skills in Troubleshooting

and the ability to Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.

- Implement and manage solutions for high availability and sustainability (e.g., replication,

clustering).

Security, Backup, and Disaster Recovery :

- Establish and enforce stringent Database security policies and manage granular database

access controls.

- Oversee and execute all aspects of Backup and recovery procedures for both Postgres and MongoDB.

- Develop and manage comprehensive Disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity and minimize data loss.

- Implement Auditing mechanisms to monitor Database usage and compliance.

Automation and Data Management :

- Develop and implement Automation tools and Create automation for repeating database tasks using scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) to enhance efficiency.

- Support and execute Data migration activities between database systems or different

environments.

Qualifications :

Experience : Mandatory 58 years of experience as a Database Administrator.

Core Expertise (Mandatory) : Deep technical expertise in administering and troubleshooting PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

Operational Skills : Proven experience in database configuration, monitoring, patching, and maintenance.

Availability & DR : Strong practical experience in Backup and recovery and Disaster recovery planning.

Performance : Expertise in advanced Performance tuning and optimization techniques.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in Database design principles and their application in both relational and NoSQL

models.

- Proficiency in writing scripts (Python, Bash) for database Automation and operational tasks.

- Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS/Aurora, Azure DB).
