Position : QA Lead.

We are seeking a skilled QA Lead to oversee the quality assurance efforts for our web domain project.

The QA Lead will be responsible for developing test strategies and ensuring the overall quality of the project.

This individual should have strong QA methodologies with emerging AI capabilities to improve testing efficiency and scalability utilising Claude-based tools and agents to accelerate defect detection, triage, and resolution.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor, and grow the QA team set quality standards, coach engineers across all levels, conduct test-case and design reviews.

- Define and own the QA strategy for the product / project including test planning, coverage frameworks, regression scope, automation roadmap, and risk-based prioritisation.

- Stakeholder communication interact with Business Analysis, Development, Product, and Leadership teams to align on testing objectives, release readiness, risk, and quality posture.

Test Execution & Technical Depth :

- Web-based testing leadership for high-traffic, high-visibility client applications including functionality, performance, role-based behavior, and cross-browser validation.

- Author and oversee creation of test scripts, scenarios, and test data across module, integration, and system testing layers.

- Handle complex QA and environment-level problems triage failures, drive root cause analysis with development, and unblock the team on infrastructure or test-environment escalations.

- Hands-on API and backend testing leadership Postman, scripted validations, payload / contract verification and the ability to design these patterns for the team to adopt.

AI-Driven QA Practice :

- Drive AI adoption across the QA team establish workflows for AI-assisted test case generation, edge-case discovery, prompt-based validation, test data synthesis, and automation script authoring.

- Build internal AI tooling capability prompt libraries, AI-augmented review checklists, productivity utilities, and reusable patterns that scale across the team.

Process Maturity & Productivity :

- Own and deliver process improvements end-to-end identify friction, propose change, drive adoption, measure impact.

- Particularly changes that meaningfully raise team productivity or coverage.

- Champion shift-left practices push QA engagement into requirements grooming, design reviews, and API-contract review; institutionalise early defect discovery as team-wide habit.

- Coverage & traceability ownership ensure test plans map cleanly back to requirements and that coverage gaps are visible to stakeholders.

Requirements :

- 8+ years of software QA testing experience, with 4+ years in a team leadership / lead-QA capacity.

- Demonstrated technical depth hands-on test design, API/backend validation, ability to convert verbal problem statements into scripts.

- Practical, hands-on experience using AI tools across the testing lifecycle must demonstrate concrete workflows.

1. AI-assisted test case generation and edge-case discovery.

2. Prompt-based validations and structured test data synthesis.

3. Debugging assistance, error/log analysis, and triage acceleration.

4. Automation script authoring and refactoring with AI support.

5. Productivity acceleration across documentation, reporting, and execution.

- Proven ability to coach and uplift a QA team through reviews, mentoring, hiring, and process leadership.

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking able to look at a new application or program and define a testing strategy that addresses scope, risk, sequencing, and dependencies.

- Tech-savviness beyond automation tools Comfortable thinking in terms of code, APIs, and system design.

- Can convert a verbal problem statement into a program, script, or technical design.

- Excellent verbal and written communication comfortable representing QA to senior stakeholders, writing test strategies, sign-off documents, and risk briefs that are precise and decision-ready.

- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple diverse projects concurrently without degrading quality.

- Technical skills: Manual Testing, API Testing, Functional Testing, Web Testing, Mobile Testing.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors or masters degree in engineering or computer science or a related field.

- Hands on experience in AI assisted testing tools especially Claude Code is an added advantage.

- Certifications in software testing such as ISTQB or CMMI are preferred.
