The core responsibilities for the job include the following :

Strategic Leadership (30%) :

- Partner with CTO on technical vision and architecture.

- Lead AI agent platform and fintech infrastructure decisions.

- Scale the engineering team from 15 to 30+ engineers.

- Align roadmap with business growth.

HFands-On Development (40%) :

- Build core AI agent systems and orchestration layers.

- Develop payment integrations (OCT/AFT, ACH).

- Implement RAG-based memory systems.

- Optimize performance, scalability, and security.

- Debug production issues and lead incident response.

Team Development (20%) :

- Hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent.

- Define career paths and engineering culture.

- Conduct architecture and design reviews.

Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%) :

- Work with Product, Data Science, and Compliance.

- Support business partnerships technically.

- Present updates to leadership.

Core Platform Infrastructure :

- Design multi-agent systems with BaseGPT orchestration.

- Enable agent-to-agent communication, permissioning, and shared memory.

- Integrate OCT/AFT card transactions and ACH services to ensure NACHA compliance.

- Build scalable TypeScript-based serverless architecture on AWS.

- Implement RAG frameworks with vector stores and real-time retrieval.

AI/ML Systems :

- Build BaseGPT as a central orchestration layer.

- Develop specialized agents (JobsGPT, DealsGPT, PriceGPT, BudgetGPT).

- Implement advanced context and memory systems.

- Integrate multiple LLMs (Claude, OpenAI, Bedrock).

- Architect for 100M+ users.

- Build global payment infrastructure.

- Ensure SOC 2 PCI DSS compliance.

- Maintain less than 2s response times at scale.

Requirements :

- 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in engineering leadership roles.

- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript / Node.js (hands-on coding is mandatory).

- Strong working knowledge of Python (hands-on experience required).

- 5+ years building and deploying microservices or serverless architectures.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML systems, LLMs, or agent-based architectures.

- Proven hands-on experience building agentic systems (not just theoretical exposure).

- Experience building ChatGPT-like PoCs or LLM-powered applications from scratch (hands-on).

- Strong background in AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3 CodeBuild).

- Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and real-time processing.

- Proven experience building and scaling high-throughput systems handling 500-1000 TPS (transactions per second).

- Demonstrated experience scaling B2C fintech applications from MVP to millions of users (mandatory).

- Led engineering teams of 15-30+ engineers through high-growth phases.

- Cross-functional leadership across Product, Design, Data Science, and Business teams.

- Strong mentorship track record (senior engineers, tech leads).

- Ability to translate business goals into technical roadmaps.

- Comfortable in fast-paced startup environments with ambiguity.

- Strong fintech experience (payments, credit systems, or banking infrastructure).

- Practical experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, or agent frameworks.

- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NACHA, PCI DSS, SOC 2).

- Exposure to international markets (Indian experience is a plus).

Technical :

- Payment APIs & banking integrations.
