About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled System Engineer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in managing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-level IT systems. The ideal candidate has strong technical troubleshooting skills, understands modern infrastructure technologies, and can ensure high availability, performance, and security across systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Infrastructure Management :
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtual machines, storage systems, and network devices.
- Manage system performance, uptime, capacity planning, and scalability.
- Implement and maintain virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V/KVM).
Cloud & Automation :
- Support cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) : provisioning, monitoring, backups, and cost optimization.
- Automate routine tasks using scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible preferred).
Monitoring & Security :
- Implement and manage monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
- Apply security best practices : patching, vulnerability remediation, access control, and log monitoring.
- Support endpoint security, firewalls, VPN, and identity management (AD, Azure AD).
Support & Troubleshooting :
- Provide Level 2/3 support for system issues, outages, and performance incidents.
- Troubleshoot hardware, OS, network, and application problems.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Networking, and Security teams for cross-functional support.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a System Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong expertise with Windows Server and/or Linux Server administration.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash; Python is a plus).
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, AD/LDAP, Group Policies.
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).
- Knowledge of backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, etc.).
- Good understanding of security practices and compliance standards.
Nice-to-Have :
- Certifications : Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), AWS/Azure Associate, RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to DevOps tooling (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.
