Role Overview :

As an SDE II (Backend), you will be at the heart of our engineering efforts, architecting and scaling high-performance systems that serve millions of users.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, to translate complex business requirements into robust, maintainable code.

Your contributions will directly influence our platform's reliability and speed, ensuring a seamless experience for our customers while driving the technical roadmap for our core backend services in our Gurgaon office.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js to support high-traffic features that enhance overall system throughput.

- Collaborate with product and design stakeholders to define technical specifications, ensuring that new features align with long-term business objectives.

- Optimize database queries and API performance to reduce latency, directly improving the end-user experience and operational efficiency.

- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning within the team.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, maintaining high availability and system stability for our global user base.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building distributed systems and microservices architecture using Node.js, with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven design.

- Proven ability to manage complex data structures and database systems, including both SQL and NoSQL, to ensure data integrity and high performance.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment in Gurgaon.

- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a track record of taking ownership of features from initial design through to deployment and monitoring.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, complemented by 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
