Role Overview:

We are seeking highly skilled Backend Leads and Engineering Managers with strong expertise in Python, Node.js, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable backend systems, leading engineering teams, driving technical excellence, and ensuring successful project delivery. This role requires a strong combination of technical leadership, architectural expertise, and people management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

- Lead end-to-end backend development using Python and Node.js.

- Build and manage distributed systems with strong focus on scalability and reliability.

- Design, develop, and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services.

- Architect microservices-based applications for enterprise-scale systems.

- Drive technical decisions, architecture reviews, and code quality standards.

- Lead engineering teams and mentor developers on best practices and design principles.

- Ensure system performance, fault tolerance, and high availability.

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams for seamless delivery.

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across applications and infrastructure.

- Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with security standards.

- Drive CI/CD adoption and deployment automation.

- Conduct code reviews and maintain engineering standards.

- Manage sprint planning, task allocation, and delivery timelines.

- Ensure timely project delivery with high-quality output.

- Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and industry trends.

Required Skillsets:

- Strong experience in backend development with Python and Node.js.

- Strong proficiency in frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Flask, Express.js, or NestJS.

- Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture.

- Strong expertise in microservices design and implementation.

- Hands-on experience in designing scalable REST APIs.

- Strong understanding of system design and architecture patterns.

- Expertise in multithreading, asynchronous programming, and concurrency handling.

- Strong knowledge of caching mechanisms such as Redis or Memcached.

- Experience with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.

- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.

- Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Understanding of observability, logging, and monitoring tools.

- Strong knowledge of security best practices and authentication mechanisms.

- Experience in performance tuning and system optimization.
