Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Engineer (Mid-Level) to join an Oracle product modernization initiative. In this role, you will work under Oracle's architectural guidance to build and enhance middleware services connecting Microsoft 365 environments with enterprise intelligence platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, Microsoft Graph API, and cloud-based integration architectures. You will play a critical role in developing synchronization services, API integrations, administrative backend components, and supporting AI-driven orchestration capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Graph API Sync Services :

- Design and develop backend services that provide bidirectional synchronization between Siebel CRM actions and Microsoft Outlook Tasks (Microsoft To Do) using Microsoft Graph APIs.

- Build reliable, timer-triggered services to manage data consistency across platforms.

Endpoint Management & Integration :

- Implement tenant-aware endpoint detection supporting both legacy Exchange Tasks APIs and modern Microsoft To Do APIs.

- Ensure seamless connectivity and compatibility across Microsoft 365 environments.

Webhooks & Event Processing :

- Develop and maintain Microsoft Graph subscriptions, webhooks, delta queries, and change notification services.

- Support high-volume, real-time event processing and message synchronization.

Administrative Backend Development :

- Build backend services for configuration and administration features.

- Support user-specific synchronization settings, conflict resolution strategies, deletion policies, and custom schema mapping.

AI & MCP Integration :

- Enable integration with Agentic AI platforms by exposing business data and write-back targets through Model Context Protocol (MCP) frameworks.

- Support dynamic tool registration and AI-driven workflow execution.

Authentication & Queue Management:

- Manage OAuth 2.0 delegated authentication flows and token lifecycle processes using Microsoft Entra ID.

- Implement offline retry mechanisms, queue management, and resilient synchronization frameworks to handle network disruptions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Core Technologies:

- 4+ years of backend development experience.

- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.

- Experience building scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.

Microsoft Ecosystem:

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph APIs, including:

i. Mail

ii. Calendar

iii. Tasks (Microsoft To Do)

iv. People APIs

- Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

Identity & Security:

- Experience with OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization.

- Knowledge of delegated and application permission models.

- Understanding of token management and security best practices.

Backend Engineering:

- Experience with asynchronous processing and event-driven architectures.

- Knowledge of background workers, message queues, retry mechanisms, and exponential backoff strategies.

- Experience handling complex data synchronization and conflict resolution scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with AI-enabled applications and LLM integrations.

- Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) frameworks.

- Familiarity with API Gateway architectures and enterprise integration patterns.

- Knowledge of prompt orchestration and AI workflow execution.

- Experience working on enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 integrations.
