Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Engineer to join our high-impact engineering team in Bangalore, Chennai, or Pune. In this role, you will architect and scale robust server-side systems that power our core product offerings, ensuring high availability and seamless performance for millions of users. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional product managers, frontend engineers, and data scientists to translate complex business requirements into elegant, maintainable code. Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement high-performance RESTful webservices to support feature-rich applications, ensuring seamless data exchange across our distributed architecture.

- Architect scalable backend solutions using Python and Node.js to improve system throughput and reduce latency for our end users.

- Optimize existing database schemas and API endpoints to enhance application reliability and support rapid business growth.

- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance to foster a culture of engineering excellence and best practices.

- Partner with product stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, ensuring that our infrastructure evolves in alignment with long-term business objectives.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in building production-grade applications using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and Django, alongside proficiency in Node.js for asynchronous event-driven services.

- Proven ability to design, document, and deploy secure RESTful webservices that integrate effectively with complex frontend and third-party systems.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex system bottlenecks and implement performance-tuning strategies in high-traffic environments.

- Excellent communication skills with the capacity to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a hybrid work environment.

- A track record of delivering high-quality software solutions within a fast-paced, agile development cycle, backed by 6 - 10 years of professional backend engineering experience.

- A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, reflecting a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
