Role: Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a motivated Developer with a passion for Information Technology. As a Developer, you will be responsible for assisting in various projects related to springboot development tasks. You will work closely with a team of experienced professionals to develop complex application based on springboot technology.

- Be part of a team of engineers in developing elegant and high performant code.

- Ensure quality practices - unit testing, code reviews / leading tests.

- Optimize application for non-functional requirements.

- Build and deploy components as part of CI/CD process.

- Will be responsible for end-to-end application delivery including coordination with required teams for production deployment.

- Be an advocate of security best practices, champion and support the importance of security within engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with senior team members to develop elegant and high performant code, quality practices - unit testing, code reviews / leading tests, Optimize application for non-functional requirements, Build and deploy components as part of CI/CD process, end-to-end application delivery including coordination with required teams for production deployment, to be an advocate of security best practices, champion and support the importance of security within engineering.

- Assist in the development and implementation of Springboot, Microservices based projects.

- Work with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

- Conduct research and development to improve Springboot, Microservices based projects.

- Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and progress.

Skill Requirements:

- 8+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications.

- 8+ years of experience as full stack developer in Java-based technologies with focus on backend.

- 5+ years of experience with Azure, GCP or other public cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), SaaS application development/support, CI/CD practices, containerization, Kubernetes, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.

- 5+ years experience with Agile methodologies and familiarity with product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Rally, or equivalent product engineering collaboration tools.

- 3+ years of experience in Retail Pharmacy or Healthcare domain.

- Extensive experience with building and driving adoption of software engineering best practices.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architectures.

- Strong work ethic, self-starter, and be able to be highly productive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

- Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.

- Command of architecture, design, and business processes.

- Expert Java programming knowledge on latest JDK versions, Spring framework.

- Knowledge of open-source packages especially those provided by Apache, Google, and Spring.

- Database knowledge - SQL, NoSQL, table structure, data relationships.

- Familiarity with GraphQL/gRPC.

- In-depth experience with building application programming interfaces (API) and frameworks.

- Experience with API security, analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request and response modifications.

- Extensive experience on Monolith to Microservices Migration.

- Extensive experience of Microservices Patterns and its right implementation.

- Extensive experience of the Cloud Native Development practices and 12 factor apps development.

Must Have skills: Springboot, microservices, Spring JPA, Relational database, Java design pattens, GCP.

Good to have skills: AI, cloud, Jmeter, Soap UI.

Project Specific Requirements:

Duration of interview will be 60 minutes. Types of questions would include technical, soft skills, basic tech, deep tech, conceptual, experience-based, scenario based, domain-based, situational questions.
