Role Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Backend Developer to join our engineering team in Mohali to architect and scale high-performance distributed systems. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of robust server-side logic, working closely with cross-functional product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver seamless user experiences. By leveraging your deep expertise in Java and microservices, you will directly influence the reliability and scalability of our platform, ensuring that our infrastructure can handle complex business requirements while maintaining high availability for our global customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and maintain scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot to ensure high-performance delivery of business-critical features.

- Design and optimize complex SQL queries and database schemas using Hibernate to improve data retrieval efficiency and system responsiveness.

- Implement asynchronous communication patterns using Kafka to decouple services and enhance the overall fault tolerance of the system.

- Develop and document secure RESTful web services to facilitate seamless integration between internal modules and external third-party clients.

- Manage containerized deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Docker and AWS to accelerate release cycles and maintain deployment consistency.

- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using JUnit to uphold high code quality standards and minimize production regressions.

- Optimize application performance by implementing advanced multithreading techniques to handle high-concurrency workloads effectively.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to design and maintain complex backend systems with 5 - 10 years of professional experience in Java-based environments.

- Proven expertise in building and deploying microservices architecture within cloud-native ecosystems, specifically utilizing AWS services.

- Strong proficiency in database management and ORM frameworks, with a focus on writing performant SQL and Hibernate mappings.

- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug multithreaded applications and optimize system throughput under heavy load.

- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical architectural decisions to stakeholders and mentor junior team members.

- A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in an on-site environment in Mohali while coordinating with distributed teams to meet aggressive project timelines.

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by a track record of delivering high-impact software solutions.
