Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with 5-6 years of experience in Java and Spring Boot to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java-based microservices architecture, RESTful API development, database management, and cloud-native application development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-performance, secure, and reliable enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following coding standards and best practices.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.

- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.

- Implement security best practices and authentication mechanisms.

- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers when required.

- Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.

- Maintain technical documentation and ensure code quality through unit and integration testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5-6 years of hands-on experience in backend development.

- Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17.

- Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.

- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.

- Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.

- Good knowledge of Hibernate/JPA.

- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

- Familiarity with Git and version control practices.

- Experience with Maven or Gradle.

- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Experience with Redis or other caching technologies.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
