About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and distributed applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java/Kotlin, microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and relational databases.

This role involves building high-performance applications that support business-critical operations in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java/Kotlin.

- Build and manage microservices-based applications using Spring Boot or Micronaut.

- Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and backend integrations.

- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka.

- Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.

- Ensure application reliability, scalability, security, and performance.

- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

- Drive improvements in system architecture, observability, and deployment processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5-10 years of experience in backend software development.

- Strong programming experience in Java and/or Kotlin.

- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot or Micronaut frameworks.

- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems in production environments.

- Experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven systems and messaging.

- Solid knowledge of data modeling and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.

- Familiarity with software design patterns and clean coding principles.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
