Role :

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with hands-on experience in data transformation (DBT) and workflow orchestration (Dagster) to join our growing Data Platform team.

Youll work at the intersection of data engineering and backend development, helping build robust, scalable pipelines that power data-driven decision-making across the company.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain backend services to support data workflows, APIs, and automation tools.

- Design and implement data transformation workflows using DBT, ensuring efficient, modular, and well-tested SQL models.

- Orchestrate and monitor workflows using Dagster, ensuring high availability, reliability, and observability of pipelines.

- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to understand data requirements and build reliable systems.

- Define and implement data quality checks, testing, and validation mechanisms.

- Participate in CI/CD processes for DBT and Dagster pipelines using GitHub Actions, dbt Cloud, or similar tools.

- Monitor and optimize pipeline performance and resource usage.

- Maintain clear documentation and promote best practices in data development.

Must-Have Qualifications :

- Strong experience in Python for backend or data pipeline development.

- Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for SQL-based data transformations.

- Practical knowledge of Dagster for orchestration and asset-based data modeling.

- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.)

- Familiarity with SQL and performance optimization techniques.

- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.

- Ability to write clean, modular, and testable code.
