Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and Cloud Technologies to build scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing distributed systems, developing RESTful APIs, and working with cloud-native architectures. You will collaborate with architects, frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade backend solutions while following Agile development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Backend Development:

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.

- Develop scalable, reusable, and secure Microservices following industry best practices.

- Build RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with frontend and third-party applications.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards.

- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Microservices & Messaging:

- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms.

- Build asynchronous communication between microservices.

- Ensure fault tolerance and high availability across distributed systems.

- Work with messaging platforms such as Kafka or MQTT.

Cloud & Containerization:

- Develop and deploy applications on cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.

- Containerize applications using Docker.

- Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes.

- Work closely with DevOps teams for cloud-native deployments.

Database Development:

- Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases.

- Develop efficient queries and ensure database performance.

- Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Cassandra, and MongoDB.

- Implement data models supporting enterprise applications.

Security & Performance:

- Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0 and JWT.

- Follow OWASP security guidelines and secure coding standards.

- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.

- Conduct code reviews and implement best practices for maintainability.

DevOps & CI/CD:

- Work with Git-based version control.

- Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.

- Participate in automated testing and deployment activities.

- Collaborate with QA teams to improve testing efficiency.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, Frontend Developers, and DevOps teams.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.

- Contribute to technical design discussions and architecture reviews.

- Mentor junior developers and share technical best practices.

Must-Have Skills:

- 5+ years of experience in Backend Development.

- Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices.

- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging platforms.

- Experience developing RESTful APIs.

- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and Design Patterns.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS.

- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC practices.

- Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Candidate Profile:

- 5+ years of experience in enterprise Java application development.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native applications.

- Experience working in Agile software development environments.

- Ability to develop secure, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions.

- Passion for clean architecture and continuous improvement.

Education:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Additional Advantage:

- Experience with Kotlin and Python.

- Hands-on experience with Selenium, JUnit, and automated testing frameworks.

- Exposure to MQTT messaging.

- Experience with Cosmos DB, Cassandra, or MongoDB.

- Knowledge of OWASP security standards.

- Experience working with enterprise cloud platforms and DevOps automation.
