Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer with deep expertise in designing and building scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will lead architecture decisions, build resilient APIs, ensure high availability, and drive engineering excellence across distributed systems.

You will play a critical role in building transaction-heavy systems that demand security, performance, and reliability at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs

- Architect high-availability and fault-tolerant distributed systems

- Design database schemas optimized for performance and scalability

- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms

- Optimize system performance, latency, and throughput

- Build event-driven architectures and real-time systems

- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers

- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, product, and compliance teams

- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability best practices

- Ensure high test coverage and CI/CD best practices

Technical Requirements :

Core Skills Mandatory :

- 4+ years of backend development experience

- Strong expertise in one or more backend languages :

1. Node.js NestJS / Express

2. Java Spring Boot

3. Golang

4. Python Django / FastAPI

- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

- Strong experience with SQL PostgreSQL / MySQL

- Experience with NoSQL databases Redis / MongoDB

- Experience with message queues Kafka / RabbitMQ / SQS

- Strong understanding of caching strategies

- Experience with Docker and containerized environments

- Strong knowledge of system design and scalability principles

Security & Fintech Experience Preferred :

- Experience building high-volume transaction systems

- Familiarity with KYC / AML integrations

- Payment gateway integrations

- Web3 / blockchain integrations

- PCI-DSS or compliance-driven systems

- Experience with rate limiting and fraud detection patterns

Infrastructure & DevOps :

- Experience with AWS / GCP / Azure

- CI/CD pipeline management

- Kubernetes preferred

- Observability tools Datadog, Prometheus, ELK Stack

Soft Skills & Leadership :

- Strong problem-solving mindset

- Ability to drive architecture discussions

- Mentoring and code review experience

- Strong ownership and accountability

- Clear communication skills

Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

- Proven track record of building scalable production systems
