Position Title : Azure Pre-Sales Engineer.

Work Arrangement : Remote India.

Role Overview :

The Azure Presales Engineer engages with customers to understand their business and technical requirements.

They design Microsoft Azure-based solutions that align with industry best practices and CloudGates service portfolio.

This role focuses on shaping cloud transformation journeys, building high-quality proposals, supporting RFPs, and collaborating with sales and delivery teams to ensure seamless handover and execution.

Key Responsibilities :

- Participate in customer discovery sessions to understand technical requirements and business goals.

- Design cloud architectures across IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid scenarios aligned with Microsoft Azure best practices.

- Prepare solution proposals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), presales designs, and technical writeups for customers and internal stakeholders.

- Support RFP/RFQ responses with detailed technical input, cost estimation, and architecture diagrams.

- Deliver product demonstrations, workshops, and technical presentations for Azure services.

- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure technical accuracy and a smooth transition from presales to implementation.

- Stay current with new Azure services, SKUs, licensing models, and pricing updates.

- Engage with Microsoft account teams for funding programs, AMM/CPOR alignment, and co-selling opportunities.

- Assist in building CloudGate solution accelerators, templates, and reusable presales artifacts.

Required Qualifications :

- 2-3+ years of experience in Azure cloud engineering or presales roles.

- Hands-on understanding of Azure core services : Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, Security, Monitoring, Backup, and Disaster Recovery.

- Experience preparing technical proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and solution designs.

- Strong presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.

- Ability to translate business requirements into actionable cloud solutions.

- Experience working with or for a Microsoft Partner is a strong plus.

- Relevant certifications are preferred (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-900, AZ-700, AZ-500).
