We are looking for an experienced Azure Platform Engineer with 5 to 9 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, along with a solid understanding of network security, RBAC, data protection, containerization, and Kubernetes (AKS).
The role involves building secure, scalable cloud environments to support modern AI and enterprise workloads.
Key Responsibilities :
- Infrastructure Automation & IaC
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of Azure services and resources.
- Ensure consistency, reusability, and compliance of IaC templates across environments.
- Azure Cloud Engineering
- Deploy and manage Azure resources including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring.
- Implement best practices for scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and ensure high availability.
- Network & Security Architecture
- Define and enforce network security boundaries, VNets, NSGs, firewalls, and private endpoints.
- Configure and manage RBAC, identity governance, and role assignments.
- Apply data protection controls for sensitive workloads including AI, analytics, and enterprise systems.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and cloud governance policies.
- Containerization & Kubernetes (AKS)
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters.
- Build containerized applications using Docker and manage container registries.
- Implement cluster security, autoscaling, monitoring, and CI/CD integration.
- DevOps Collaboration
- Work closely with DevOps, Development, and Security teams to streamline cloud deployment workflows.
- Integrate IaC and Kubernetes deployments with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).
- Participate in code reviews, automation strategies, and process improvements.
- Monitoring & Optimization
- Set up monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Perform performance tuning, cost analysis, and resource optimization.
- Maintain documentation for architectures, processes, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 59 years of experience as a Cloud / Azure Platform / DevOps Engineer.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure infrastructure services (VMs, VNets, Storage, ACR, Key Vault, Load Balancers, etc.
- Solid understanding of network security, RBAC, identity management, and data protection.
- Strong experience with containerization and Kubernetes, especially AKS.
- Experience integrating IaC with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Proficiency in scripting PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Good understanding of cloud governance, compliance, and FinOps best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Microsoft Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400).
- Experience with service mesh, ingress controllers, and advanced networking for AKS.
- Knowledge of zero-trust security models and cloud-native security tools.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications preferred
