Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Azure Native Security Controls Specialist to strengthen and manage the security posture of our Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Azure-native security services and a strong understanding of cloud security best practices. This role focuses on implementing, operating, and optimizing security controls across Azure infrastructure to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, and regulatory compliance.

The position requires close collaboration with cloud engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to proactively identify risks, respond to security incidents, and continuously improve the organizations cloud security maturity.

Key Responsibilities :

Azure Security Implementation & Operations :

- Implement, configure, and manage Azure-native security controls across cloud environments.

- Operate and optimize services such as Azure Security Center (Microsoft Defender for Cloud), Azure Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR), Azure Firewall, and Azure Defender.

- Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and coordinate remediation activities.

- Perform continuous security posture assessments and recommend improvements.

Identity & Access Management (IAM) :

- Manage and secure identities using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).

- Implement and enforce Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and conditional access policies.

- Review access permissions regularly to ensure least-privilege principles.

Network & Infrastructure Security :

- Secure Azure networking components, including virtual networks, subnets, firewalls, and VPNs.

- Implement encryption mechanisms for data at rest and in transit.

- Support secure connectivity between on-premises and Azure environments.

Security Automation & Tooling :

- Develop and maintain security automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Azure-native automation tools.

- Implement automated security workflows using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Automation, or Terraform (where applicable).

- Enhance detection and response capabilities through automation and orchestration.

Compliance & Governance :

- Support compliance initiatives aligned with ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, and other regulatory frameworks.

- Map compliance requirements to Azure security controls and ensure ongoing adherence.

- Assist in audits, risk assessments, and security documentation.

Collaboration & Reporting :

- Work closely with cloud engineers, DevOps teams, and application owners to embed security into cloud solutions.

- Communicate security risks, findings, and remediation plans clearly to stakeholders.

- Prepare security reports, dashboards, and metrics for management review.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3- 5 years of experience in cloud security, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

- In-depth knowledge of Azure-native security services, including :

1. Azure Security Center / Defender for Cloud

2. Azure Sentinel

3. Azure Firewall

4. Azure Defender

- Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar scripting tools.

- Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.

- Practical experience with Azure IAM, including Azure AD, RBAC, and MFA.

- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOC 2.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
