Role Overview :
As an AKS Architect at Andor Tech, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) solutions for our clients. You will collaborate closely with application development teams, infrastructure engineers, and security specialists to ensure the successful deployment and operation of containerized applications. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding clients through their cloud-native adoption, optimizing their AKS environments, and ensuring alignment with their business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement scalable and highly available AKS clusters to meet client requirements.
- Define and enforce best practices for containerization, deployment, and management of applications on AKS.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application architectures for cloud-native environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates for provisioning and managing AKS resources.
- Implement security policies and controls to protect AKS clusters and containerized applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AKS deployments, networking, and storage.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on AKS and Kubernetes concepts.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of AKS operations.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex application architectures on Azure, leveraging AKS and other cloud-native services.
- Proven expertise in Kubernetes concepts, including deployments, services, networking, and storage.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker, and related tools.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python or Bash, for automation and orchestration.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
