Role Overview :

The Azure Infrastructure Engineer is a senior specialized role requiring 8+ years of experience, focused on designing, deploying, and managing mission-critical, production-level infrastructure primarily on Microsoft Azure.

This Remote position demands expert-level skills in Azure Networking, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and advanced Terraform Automation for infrastructure as code (IaC).

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the High Availability Configuration and robust Disaster Recovery (DR) Setup for all cloud environments.

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer (8+ years) with deep technical expertise in operating and troubleshooting production AKS clusters and complex Azure networking.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Terraform for immutable infrastructure provisioning, including advanced state file management.

Key responsibilities include implementing service mesh technologies (Istio), configuring autoscaling (KEDA/HPA), and building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines to manage highly available, scalable infrastructure based on Hub-and-Spoke architecture.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

- Container Orchestration & Operations: Operate and troubleshoot production AKS clusters, ensuring stability, performance, and security. Manage Container Management (AKS) lifecycle.

- Workload Deployment: Build and deploy workloads using Docker and Helm (specifically Helm for AKS) to standardize application packaging and deployment practices.

- Infrastructure Automation (IaC): Automate infra provisioning with Terraform, including managing complex State File Management (Terraform) for production environments. VM Deployment (Terraform) expertise is required for non-containerized workloads.

- Networking Design & Management: Design and maintain resilient Cloud Networking solutions, specifically leveraging Azure Networking principles. Implement Hub-and-Spoke Architecture for network segmentation and security.

- Security & Access Control: Implement fine-grained security policies using Network Security Groups (NSG) and other Azure security controls.

- Advanced AKS Configuration: Manage Istio or equivalent service mesh (ingress, routing, mTLS) for secure inter-service communication and traffic management within AKS.

- Scaling and Performance: Configure horizontal and event-driven autoscaling mechanisms using KEDA and HPA to ensure efficient Scaling and Load Balancing (AKS).

- Reliability and Resilience: Design, implement, and maintain High Availability Configuration patterns. Support and execute disaster recovery procedures (Disaster Recovery (DR) Setup) to meet defined RTO/RPO objectives.

- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) for automated infrastructure and application deployments.

- Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level Network Troubleshooting (Azure) and advanced AKS Networking diagnosis and resolution for complex production issues.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience: 8+ years in Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or SRE roles.

- Cloud Platform: Expertise in Windows Azure (Azure) and Production-Level Infrastructure Management.

- Core Technologies: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Helm for AKS.

- Automation: Terraform Automation and State File Management (Terraform).

- Networking: Azure Networking, Cloud Networking, Hub-and-Spoke Architecture, and Network Security Groups (NSG).

- SRE/Reliability: Expertise in Disaster Recovery (DR) Setup and High Availability Configuration.

- Advanced Skills: Experience managing Service Mesh (Istio or equivalent) and configuring autoscaling with KEDA and HPA.

Preferred Skills :

- Strong proficiency with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools integrated with AKS (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).

- Certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
