About the Role:

A B2B IT services/consulting firm needs an Azure DevOps Lead to own CI/CD, IaC, and cloud-native delivery end to end and mentor a team while doing it. Not a hands-off architect role: you'll be writing pipelines, fixing production incidents, and coaching developers on the same day.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines) and Git-based workflows

- Implement IaC using ARM templates, Bicep, and/or Terraform

- Containerize apps (Docker) and manage AKS

- Automate build/test/release/rollback with quality gates

- Own observability (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Prometheus, Grafana)

- Drive security via pipeline controls and secrets management (Key Vault/Vault)

- Implement Azure cost governance (tags, policies, budgets)

- Troubleshoot failures and incidents; drive RCA to permanent fixes

- Mentor developers on Git, pipelines, IaC, and cloud-native design

- Maintain runbooks, playbooks, architecture docs, and pipeline templates

Requirements:

- 6+ years in cloud-native delivery, 3+ years recent Azure

- Deep hands-on Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Boards)

- Team mentoring experience Git, pipelines, IaC, cloud-native design

- Strong CI/CD design and YAML pipeline authoring

- Hands-on Terraform (ARM/Bicep a plus)

- Docker + Kubernetes, specifically AKS

- Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python

- Git workflows branching, PRs, code reviews

- Config/secrets management (Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault)

- Azure networking, identity (Azure AD), and security fundamentals

- Strong troubleshooting and incident response, with RCA ownership

- Background in B2B IT services/IT consulting

- Strong cross-team collaboration and communication

Good to Have:

- AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-305, or Terraform Associate certification

- Observability tooling experience, Azure cost optimization, and runbook/template maintenance
