Azure DevOps Engineer - IAC Terraform

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Pipelines for containerized applications.

- Manage and deploy applications to Azure Container Apps.

- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment workflows.

- Collaborate with development teams to define and enforce Git project branching strategies (feature branches, release branches, pull request integrations, etc.).

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployments.

- Create and manage release pipelines, environments, and deployment approvals.

- Ensure security, compliance, and reliability of Azure-based environments.

- Provide technical guidance to developers on DevOps best practices.

- Clearly document processes, runbooks, and deployment strategies.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery.

Required Skills :

- Proven experience with Azure Container Apps, including configuration, deployment, and scaling.

- Proficient in building CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications (e.g., Docker).

- Good understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) preferred : Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates.

- Solid understanding of Git workflows including branching, pull requests, and integration strategies.

- Experience with container registries (ACR or Docker Hub) and container lifecycle management.

- Familiarity with application monitoring and log management in Azure (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).

- Comfortable working in Agile or DevOps-oriented environments.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Additional Requirements :

- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Understanding of security best practices in CI/CD and Azure.

- Experience with YAML-based Azure pipeline definitions.

- Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.

- Experience with build and deployment of microservices and container-based workloads is a plus.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD

- Familiarity with service mesh, ingress, or API gateway in Azure

- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a bonus
