Azure DevOps Engineer - IAC Terraform

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor the health and performance of cloud resources, proactively identify bottlenecks or potential issues, and implement optimizations to ensure optimal system performance.

- Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, scaling, and management processes, enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of the cloud environment.

- Incident Management and Troubleshooting: Respond to and resolve incidents related to cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences.

- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices in Cloud Platforms, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Plan and implement robust backup and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.

- Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, Development, and QA teams to understand application requirements, provide cloud infrastructure recommendations, and support continuous integration and deployment processes.

- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and advancements in cloud technologies and OCI services.

- Azure DevOps Implementation: Design, configure, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications across multiple environments, ensuring smooth and efficient release cycles.

- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Collaborate with development teams to implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid and reliable software delivery.

- Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.

- Version Control: Manage version control repositories and enforce best practices for code branching and merging.

- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, deployment processes, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications And Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Proven experience as a CloudOps Engineer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and / Or Other Cloud Platforms.

- Strong expertise in configuring and optimizing OCI services, including compute, networking, storage, and security components.

- Solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.

- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and similar.

- In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and encryption techniques.

- Relevant certifications in OCI or other cloud platforms are a plus.

- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience, specifically with Azure DevOps.

- Strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline setup and management using Azure DevOps, including integration with Git, automated builds, and release management.

- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and experience with tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.

- Scripting skills in languages like PowerShell, Python, or Shell for automation and orchestration.

- Knowledge of containerization technologies (eg, Docker) and container orchestration platforms (eg, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, or similar

- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud environments.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

- Relevant certifications in Azure DevOps or other cloud platforms are a plus.
