Azure Data Engineer - ETL/Snowflake DB

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure.

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and data scientists to build robust data pipelines, enable advanced analytics, and support enterprise-wide data initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and cloud-based data platforms, along with a solid understanding of modern data engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Understand and analyze business requirements related to multiple data sources and translate them into scalable data engineering solutions.

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data efficiently. Build and optimize data models, queries, reports, and analytical datasets.

- Support and enhance existing data marts, data warehouses, and process chains.

- Ensure timely and successful delivery of data engineering projects across business units, including deployment to production environments.

- Collaborate with Data Science & Analytics teams to enable advanced use cases such as predictive analytics and machine learning.

- Implement change requests (CRs) and contribute to new feature development for existing and new data solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure data repositories and pipelines.

- Design and execute data migration strategies from on-premise systems to Azure cloud platforms.

- Ensure adherence to data engineering standards, governance, and best practices.

- Monitor pipeline performance and ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.

Required Skills & Expertise :

Hands-on experience with :

- Azure Data Factory (ADF) Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2) Azure Synapse Analytics/SQL Data Warehouse Azure Databricks (PySpark/Spark SQL)

- Experience with Azure SQL Database/Managed Instance Strong experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development

- Expertise in data modeling techniques (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)

- Strong command over SQL and performance tuning

- Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured data Proficiency in Python/PySpark/ SQL

- Experience with Git and version control systems

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
