Azure Data Engineer - EHR System

Key Responsibilities :

- Azure Data Architecture & Development : Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure data solutions leveraging various Azure cloud services, including Azure Health Data Services, FHIR API, Azure API Management, and Azure Functions.

- FHIR Data Model Expertise : Apply a strong understanding of the HL7 FHIR data model, including its resources, bundles, profiles, and extensions, to develop effective data solutions.

- EHR System Integration : Integrate with various EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth, primarily using FHIR/REST APIs.

- Security & Authentication : Implement and manage secure data access and integration using OAuth2, SMART on FHIR, and Azure AD authentication flows.

- Automation & Scripting : Develop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure deployment and management using PowerShell, ARM templates, or Bicep.

- Monitoring & Compliance : Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Security Center for effective performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and compliance tracking of data solutions.

- Client Collaboration : Work in client-facing environments, effectively communicating technical concepts and

solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Problem Solving : Diagnose and resolve complex data integration and platform-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Health Data Services, FHIR API, Azure API Management, and Azure Functions.

- Strong understanding of the HL7 FHIR data model, including resources, bundles, profiles, and extensions.

- Proven experience integrating with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth) using FHIR/REST APIs.

- Hands-on experience with OAuth2, SMART on FHIR, and Azure AD authentication flows.

- Proficiency with scripting and automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, or Bicep.

- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Security Center for performance and compliance tracking.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in client-facing environments.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
