Azure Data Engineer

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer with 8+ years of hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Python, and Power BI, and will be responsible for building robust data pipelines, optimizing data workflows, and enabling data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric

- Build and optimize data workflows for large-scale data processing

- Develop and maintain data models and data warehousing solutions

- Write efficient and scalable Python scripts for data transformation and automation

- Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and cloud platforms

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements

- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI

- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across pipelines

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data processes for performance and cost-efficiency

- Implement best practices in data governance and documentation

- Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles

- Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF)

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric

- Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks

- Solid experience in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization)

- Experience with SQL and relational databases

- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL frameworks

- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures (Azure preferred)

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or Databricks

- Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)

- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

- Certifications in Microsoft Azure (e.g., DP-203)
