Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Azure Data Engineer/Developer to join our growing team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python application development, with a solid foundation in SQL Server, object-oriented programming, and test-driven development. This role demands a performance-focused mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and familiarity with Agile development and CI/CD pipelines. Experience in the healthcare domain is a plus.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and build robust, scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

- Develop data-centric applications using Python and C#, leveraging best practices in OOP and design patterns.

- Apply test-driven development (TDD) practices, writing and maintaining unit tests using appropriate testing libraries.

- Optimize SQL queries and ETL processes in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Data Warehouse (Dedicated Pool).

- Diagnose and resolve performance issues across systems, leveraging monitoring tools and past experience to recommend tuning strategies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and design discussions.

- Contribute to the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ (more the better) years of hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory and Databricks. Should have C#, APIs (worked as hands-on Application Developer)

- 2+ years of experience in developing Python applications, with a strong understanding of TDD practices and unit testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest).

- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and design patterns.

- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL-T, and ETL/ELT pipelines.

- 2+ years working with SQL Server Dedicated Pool (Azure SQL Data Warehouse).

- Proven expertise in diagnosing performance bottlenecks, including past experience with tools, root cause analysis, and optimization techniques.

Preferred Skills :

- Excellent communication skills

- Experience working in Agile environments, using tools like JIRA.

- Familiarity with CI/CD processes using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

- Exposure to healthcare data, standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR), and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, etc.).
