Azure Data Engineer

About the Role :

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and related services to build scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines and architectures.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement and maintain ETL/ELT processes for both structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.

- Develop and manage data models (star schema, snowflake schema, normalization) for OLTP and OLAP systems to support

reporting and advanced analytics.

- Integrate and process data from on-premises systems and cloud environments seamlessly.

- Manage Azure storage solutions, including Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Blob Storage, ensuring scalability and performance.

- Enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards leveraging Azure Purview, role-based access control (RBAC), and data masking techniques.

- Collaborate closely with data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions aligned with organizational goals.

- Participate in DevOps activities, including CI/CD pipeline implementation for data projects using Azure DevOps or similar tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Azure Data Factory (ADF)

- Azure Synapse Analytics / Azure SQL Data Warehouse

- Azure Databricks / Apache Spark

- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)

2. Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL) and Python/PySpark for data processing and transformation.

3. Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration patterns for large-scale data environments.

4. Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including star schema, snowflake schema, and normalization.

5. Knowledge of data governance, security best practices, and compliance in Azure environments.

6. Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline creation, preferably using Azure DevOps.

7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

8. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
