Role Overview :

Seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Architect with deep expertise in Databricks to lead enterprise data modernization and migration projects. The ideal candidate will serve as a hands-on technical leaderdefining architecture, guiding delivery teams, and ensuring alignment between client strategy and technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead data modernization and migration projects, from architecture design to deployment and optimization.

- Architect scalable, secure, and efficient data platforms leveraging Azure Databricks and Azure Data Services.

- Provide technical direction and mentoring to engineering teams to ensure quality and efficiency in delivery.

- Define and implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, governance, and monitoring.

- Collaborate with client stakeholders to align technical approaches with business goals and project timelines.

- Introduce modern tools, frameworks, and methodologies to accelerate project execution.

- Oversee data platform performance, ensuring scalability and cost-effectiveness.

- Contribute to solution accelerators, reusable components, and internal knowledge assets.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 12- 15 years of experience in Data Architecture and Solution Design.

- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks for data engineering and analytics workloads.

- Deep understanding of Data Fabric concepts and their integration in Azure ecosystems.

- Proven experience in data and platform modernization initiatives, preferably at enterprise scale.

- Expertise in designing ETL pipelines, real-time data processing, and cloud-based data storage architectures.

- Strong command over data security, governance, and compliance best practices.

- Excellent communication and client-facing skills to lead architecture discussions and presentations.

- Ability to guide teams in implementing reusable patterns, automation, and DevOps-based data delivery.

Engagement Flexibility :

- On-site preferred : Candidate may be required on-site for 2- 3 months for alignment and execution.

- Remote option : Offshore work acceptable for suitable candidates with strong delivery ownership.
