Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Azure Data Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable, high-performance data architecture solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for building end-to-end data solutions that power analytics, machine learning, and enterprise intelligence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture standards, ensure best practices, and deliver secure and optimized data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Design :

- Design and develop scalable, high-performance data architectures leveraging Azure services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.

- Architect robust data warehouse and data lakehouse solutions to support analytical and BI workloads.

- Define and implement data modeling, data governance, and data security frameworks aligned with organizational and compliance standards.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications and architecture blueprints.

Data Engineering & Development :

- Build and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for ingestion, transformation, and loading of large datasets from diverse sources.

- Develop and maintain data orchestration workflows and automation pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks notebooks.

- Ensure efficient data integration between on-premises systems, APIs, and cloud data sources.

Data Management & Governance :

- Establish and enforce data quality, metadata management, lineage tracking, and data cataloging processes.

- Implement data privacy, security, and compliance controls in alignment with regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).

- Work closely with information security teams to ensure proper access control and encryption standards.

Collaboration & Leadership :

- Partner with data engineers, BI developers, and business analysts to deliver end-to-end data-driven solutions.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams, promoting best practices in coding, documentation, and version control.

- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and architectures to continuously improve the organizations data landscape.

Reporting & Visualization :

- Architect and optimize reporting frameworks using Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).

- Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to design intuitive and impactful dashboards and KPIs for stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics, with at least 5 years of hands-on Azure experience.

- Strong proficiency with Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and Power BI.

- In-depth knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT frameworks.

- Expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, and data performance tuning.

- Strong understanding of data governance, lineage, and master data management (MDM) principles.

- Experience with Python, PySpark, or Scala for large-scale data processing is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively with global stakeholders and lead data initiatives in a cross-functional environment.

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification preferred.
