This 12-month mission requires a veteran infrastructure strategist who can balance high-performance engineering with the stringent regulatory demands of the healthcare industry.

You will architect resilient, multi-region cloud environments using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), ensuring that every layer from networking to identity aligns with HIPAA, HITRUST, and ISO 27001 standards.

As a technical visionary, you will lead the transition toward a fully automated, immutable infrastructure using Terraform and Azure DevOps, while driving operational excellence through advanced observability and cloud-native security protocols.

Responsibilities :

- SaaS Platform Architecture: Lead the architectural design and scaling strategies for enterprise-grade SaaS platforms, ensuring 99.99% availability and global performance optimization.

- Healthcare Compliance & Security: Architect security frameworks that satisfy HIPAA and HITRUST requirements, implementing encrypted data-at-rest/transit and robust Azure RBAC policies.

- Advanced Networking: Design complex network topologies using Hub-and-Spoke models, ExpressRoute for secure on-premise connectivity, and Azure Private Link to isolate PaaS services from the public internet.

- Kubernetes & Container Orchestration: Define the standard for AKS cluster management, including node pool isolation, pod security policies, and automated cluster upgrades.

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Own the automation roadmap by developing reusable Terraform modules and state management strategies to ensure environment consistency across Dev, Staging, and Production.

- CI/CD & DevOps Engineering: Build and optimize end-to-end deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps, integrating automated security scanning and compliance checks into the build process.

- Observability & Health Monitoring: Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to provide deep insights into application health and resource utilization.

- Identity & Access Management: Govern identity services via Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), ensuring least-privilege access and secure multi-tenant partitioning.

- Distributed Systems Design: Architect microservices patterns that support high-concurrency workloads, utilizing Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, and distributed caching strategies.

Technical Requirements :

- Cloud Foundation: 10+ years in infrastructure engineering with 6+ years of dedicated, hands-on Azure architecture experience.

- Compute & Containers: Expert-level knowledge of AKS, Virtual Machine Scale Sets (VMSS), Azure Functions, and App Services.

- IaC Proficiency: Advanced mastery of Terraform for orchestrating complex, multi-subscription Azure environments.

- Networking Expertise: Deep understanding of VNETs, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and Traffic Manager.

- Security Frameworks: In-depth knowledge of healthcare-specific compliance (HIPAA/HITRUST) and global standards like ISO 27001.

- Observability: Strong experience with cloud-native monitoring stacks for proactive incident management.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Expert Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Security Engineer Associate.

- Regulated Industry Experience: Prior background in high-compliance sectors such as Financial Services or Government.
