Principal Cloud Engineer - Azure

Role Overview :

The Azure Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on the Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Azure services, best practices, and architecture patterns to drive the adoption and optimization of cloud technologies within the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, technical merits, and TCO value propositions, identifying gaps and opportunities to align solutions with the company's service offerings.

- Design and architect well-structured, secure, scalable, efficient, and cost-optimized Azure solutions, considering trade-offs between requirements, speed, cost, and reliability.

- Develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) to demonstrate the feasibility and advantages of proposed Azure solutions in real-world scenarios.

- Create detailed solution proposals and architecture designs, outlining technical aspects and implementation timelines.

- Provide hands-on guidance during POC implementation and initial deployments, ensuring a smooth client experience.

- Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate the seamless transition of proposed solutions into practical implementation, addressing client-specific requirements.

- Develop strategies for cost-effective utilization of Azure services, including cost analysis, monitoring, and optimization techniques.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure services, solutions, and best practices to ensure offerings remain cutting-edge and aligned with industry trends.

- Share insights, best practices, and success stories with the team to enhance collective knowledge and effectiveness.

- Manage end-to-end oversight of multiple full life cycle Azure cloud engagements, demonstrating ability to handle product and program management aspects within Azure solutions.

Must Haves :

- Strong understanding of various cloud software solution stacks, including compute, orchestration, infrastructure management, storage, and networking solutions.

- Proven hands-on knowledge of cloud computing, containerization technologies/Kubernetes, database design, data warehousing, ETL/data ops, and security.

- Extensive experience working with multiple clients in assessing and migrating applications to the cloud.

- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect handling medium to large-scale cloud migrations.

- Expertise in building enterprise-class Cloud landing zones and foundational services.

- Proficiency in creating Terraform templates for landing zone creation & infrastructure provisioning using Terraform/ARM templates.

- Experience in performing Well-Architected Reviews for customers.

- Familiarity with designing DevOps pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub.

- Expertise in tools like Terraform and ARM Templates for developing CI/CD processes and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) artifacts for deployments.

- Overall design experience for network, security, generic infrastructure, and supporting services in Azure.

- Excellent working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems.

- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and ability to function effectively in an Agile-based environment.

Experience :

- 12+ years of experience on cloud platforms, with a specialty in Azure.

Education :

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
