Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Axway API Platform Engineer with 5-10 years of total experience, including 4-6 years of relevant experience in managing API platforms using Axway Amplify Engage and Axway APIM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimizing our API Marketplace platform, ensuring high performance, robust governance, and a seamless developer experience. You will play a critical role in our API-first strategy and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Operate, maintain, and optimize the Axway API Marketplace platform, specifically leveraging Axway Amplify Engage for API consumption and discovery.

- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Axway API Management (APIM) components, including API Gateway, Policy Studio, and API Manager.

- Implement and enforce API governance policies within the Axway platform, covering security, throttling, routing, and mediation.

- Work with API developers and consumers to ensure a seamless developer experience on the API Marketplace.

- Design and implement API proxy configurations, policies, and virtualizations using Axway APIM.

- Apply a good understanding of API design standards (OpenAPI/Swagger) to ensure consistent and well-documented APIs.

- Utilize familiarity with RESTful architecture and principles for efficient API development and management.

- Manage the full API lifecycle, from design and development to deployment, versioning, and deprecation within the Axway ecosystem.

- Implement and troubleshoot API security models, including integration with IAM (Identity and Access Management) tools such as OAuth, JWT, and API Keys.

- Monitor API performance, availability, and usage, providing insights and optimizing the platform for scalability and reliability.

- Perform strong problem-solving and troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve complex issues within the Axway API platform.

- Collaborate with development teams, architects, and security teams to ensure secure and efficient API integrations.

- Document API configurations, policies, and operational procedures.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Axway Amplify Engage.

- Deep understanding of Axway API Management (APIM), including API Gateway, API Manager, and Policy Studio.

- Good knowledge of API design standards (OpenAPI/Swagger/RAML).

- Familiarity with RESTful architecture and the entire API lifecycle management.

- Understanding of API security models (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, API Keys) and integration with IAM tools.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for complex API platform issues.

- Experience with API monitoring and analytics.

- Basic understanding of network protocols (HTTP/S, TCP/IP) and firewalls.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
