Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Solutions Architect with deep expertise in AWS Data & Analytics services to design, build, and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, Python-based automation, and AWS-native analytics platforms, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex business and technical challenges.

This is a hands-on, consulting-oriented role that requires strong solution design skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate business requirements into robust AWS architectures.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs) :

Solution Architecture & Design :

- Design and implement end-to-end AWS data and analytics architectures using services such as AWS Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, and Athena.

- Define scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-optimized cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.

- Develop architectural blueprints, reference architectures, and technical design documents.

Data Engineering & Analytics :

- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue and Python.

- Design and implement data models, including Star and Snowflake schemas, to support analytics and reporting workloads.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for transformations, aggregations, and data validation.

- Ensure high data quality, consistency, and performance across analytics platforms.

Development & Automation :

- Develop serverless applications and workflows using AWS Lambda and Step Functions.

- Implement Python-based automation for data processing, orchestration, and monitoring.

- Promote best practices in software development, code reviews, and reusable components.

Integration & BI Enablement :

- Integrate AWS data platforms with BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, DataiQ, and OBIEE.

- Support analytics and reporting teams by enabling optimized data access and performance.

- Explore and contribute to emerging areas such as Generative BI and advanced analytics.

Governance, Security & Compliance :

- Implement data governance, cataloging, and lineage using AWS-native tools and best practices.

- Ensure data security through IAM policies, encryption, access controls, and auditing.

- Align architectures with organizational compliance and regulatory standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Consulting :

- Act as a trusted technical advisor to business stakeholders and engineering teams.

- Translate business process challenges into practical, scalable technical solutions.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, data, BI, and infrastructure teams.

Required Skills & Experience :

Technical Skills :

- 8+ years of overall IT experience with strong focus on AWS architecture and data platforms.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with :

AWS Glue
AWS Lambda
Python (Programming Language)

Strong experience with :

Amazon Redshift
Amazon S3
AWS Step Functions
AWS Athena (good to have)

- Excellent SQL skills for complex querying, transformations, and validations.

- Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and dimensional modeling.

- Solid knowledge of solution design principles, data architecture, and integration patterns.

- Experience with data governance, cataloging, and security in AWS environments.

- Ability to work independently in a contract and hybrid work model.

Preferred Qualifications :

- AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty (or similar AWS certification).

- Experience integrating AWS data platforms with Tableau, DataiQ, or OBIEE.

- Exposure to Generative BI, AI-driven analytics, or advanced visualization solutions.

- Prior experience in a consulting or solution-architecture role.
