Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and motivated AWS Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Amazon RDS and PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and performance monitoring of cloud-hosted databases. A working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database is a plus and will be considered beneficial.

Key roles and responsibilities :

Experience : 6-7 yrs

- Administer, monitor, and optimize AWS RDS databases with a focus on PostgreSQL.

- Manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery strategies.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks including upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.

- Ensure high availability and security of database systems.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and performance bottlenecks.

- Collaborate with application developers and DevOps teams to support database-related needs.

- Automate repetitive tasks using scripts or AWS tools.

- Maintain documentation of database configurations and procedures..

Skills & Experience :

- Proven experience managing AWS RDS environments.

- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in production environments.

- Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.

- Understanding of database security and compliance best practices.

- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database is a plus.

- Experience with AWS services like CloudWatch, IAM, and CloudFormation is an advantage.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
