Job Description : AWS Data Architect

Role Overview :

- We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect with 8-12 years of expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing cloud-based data architectures.

- The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS data services, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable cloud data architectures on AWS.

- Develop data lakes and data warehouses using S3, Redshift, Glue, and Lake Formation.

- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume data processing.

- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, data flow designs, and environment documentation.

- Develop efficient data models supporting analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.

- Perform performance tuning on SQL queries, Redshift workflows, and ETL jobs.

- Ensure robust data governance, security, and access controls using IAM and encryption standards.

- Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.

- Conduct environment reviews, optimization assessments, and capacity planning.

- Ensure cost-effective architecture following AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices.

Required Skills :

- 8-12 years of experience in cloud data architecture and engineering.

- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS S3, Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, IAM.

- Proficiency in data modeling, schema design, and OLTP/OLAP concepts.

- Deep experience in SQL, Python, and automation of data workflows.

- Expertise in performance optimization and troubleshooting of data pipelines.

- Strong understanding of security best practices in AWS (IAM roles, policies, encryption).

- Ability to create clear, detailed architecture diagrams using tools like Lucidchart/Draw.io.

- Excellent understanding of distributed systems, data lakes, and data warehouses.

- Experience with cloud cost optimization and environment audits.

Preferred Qualifications :

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Data Analytics certification.

- Experience with Athena, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, or other AWS analytics services.

- Experience working in Agile environments.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
