Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support one of our global clients in designing, securing, and operating enterprise-scale AWS environments.
This is a hands-on, senior-level role focused on cloud architecture, governance, automation, and Python-based tooling, working closely with distributed DevOps, Security, and Application teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and maintain scalable, secure AWS cloud architectures aligned with enterprise best practices
- Build and govern multi-account AWS environments using AWS Control Tower, Organizations, and landing zones
- Implement IAM strategies, including SCPs, identity federation, and least-privilege access models
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
- Architect and manage AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, NACLs, Transit Gateway)
- Implement AWS Config, logging, monitoring, and compliance controls
- Automate infrastructure operations and workflows using Python
- Enable DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and drive root-cause analysis
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, and runbooks
- Act as a trusted cloud advisor to client stakeholders and engineering teams
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 14+ years of overall IT experience, with deep hands-on expertise in AWS
- Strong experience in AWS architecture, security, and governance
- Proven experience with AWS Control Tower and multi-account strategies
- Advanced knowledge of IAM, SCPs, identity management, and access control
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Solid understanding of AWS networking and VPC design
- Proficiency in Python for automation and cloud operations
- Experience working in DevOps-driven, cloud-native environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote setup
Nice to Have :
- AWS Professional or Speciality certifications
- Experience supporting global or enterprise clients
- Exposure to compliance or regulated cloud environments
